Victims who are hurt in vehicle collisions are usually transported by ambulance to area hospitals where they receive immediate and extensive medical care in order to recover from their injuries. The costs associated with an ambulance ride alone are astronomical, especially when paid out-of-pocket. Not only do they have to pay for medical care that can last for days, weeks, or even months, they usually have to pay for vehicle repairs/replacement, physical therapy, and more. Injured crash victims may be forced to spend time out of work, which can result in lost wages, thus making it even more difficult to make ends meet.
