Robinson Twp, PA – Linda Lewis, 70, Loses Life in House Fire on Helen St

Robinson Twp, PA (March 31, 2022) – One woman lost her life and three others lost their home in a massive structure fire in Robinson Township. The incident was reported to firefighters in the area just before 8:00 a.m. on Monday, March 28.

According to information from reports, the fire occurred on Helen Street. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased victim as Linda Lewis, age 70. 

The Allegheny County Fire Marshal Matt Brown stated that three people escaped the burning home on their own. One of them suffered smoke inhalation. They lost their home and all of their belongings in the fire. 

Flames burned for hours into the early evening of March 28. Firefighters stated it was difficult to remove Lewis from the burning home due to serious structural damage. Shortly after arriving at the scene, the home became unsafe for firefighters to be inside. 

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the blaze.
