Pittsburgh, PA – EMTs Assist Injured Victims of Crash on I-79 near Emsworth-Sewickley exit

Pittsburgh, PA (March 29, 2022) – A car crash with injuries happened on an interstate in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, March 29. According to reports from authorities, the accident occurred at around 4:00 p.m.

An unknown number of vehicles collided on Interstate 79 near the Emsworth-Sewickley exit to the Neville Island Bridge exit. Traffic appeared to be totally stopped shortly before rush hour due to the presence of first responders in the area. 

Paramedics, police, and fire crews were observed at the scene. The total number of injured victims has not been reported at this time. 

Local drivers were urged to use different routes of travel while crews worked at the site of the wreck. The circumstances of the accident remain under local law enforcement investigation at this time. 

Police continue to investigate the details of the incident.
