Pittsburgh, PA (April 2, 2022) – A roadway in Pittsburgh was closed due to a major car crash that occurred on Banksville Road. The incident was reported to officials in the area at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30.
Sources say vehicles collided between Potomac Avenue and Wenzell Avenue. Currently, information concerning the total number of injured parties has not been reported.
The roadway was closed for some time while emergency crews worked to clear the area and assist those involved. Various responders were seen on-site for some time after the accident occurred.
Local motorists commuting near the crash scene were asked to use different travel routes for the time being. Police continue to investigate the details of the wreck.
