Pittsburgh, PA (May 4, 2022) – One person lost their life in a wreck reported in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, May 4. At approximately 2:20 a.m., responders were dispatched to the incident scene to help those involved.
State police said the accident happened on Interstate 376 near Oakland. A vehicle headed west rear-ended another car driving in the middle lane. Reports said that that vehicle spun onto the shoulder and struck a concrete barrier.
The deceased victim was identified as 36-year-old Lashawn A. Davis. The circumstances surrounding the cause of the wreck remain under police investigation.
Traffic delays ensued near the crash site while emergency crews worked there. Police directed local drivers to use different travel routes while the scene was under investigation.
