Pittsburgh, PA – Multi-Vehicle Car Accident on 28 S near Exit 5/PA 8 N Causes Injuries

Pittsburgh, PA (April 8, 2022) – Police and other responders were sent to assist at the scene of a motor vehicle collision with injuries in Pittsburgh on April 7. At approximately 1:45 p.m., the incident was reported to officials in the area. 

At this time, it remains unclear what led up to the wreck. It happened on PA 28 near exit 5/PA 8 North. An unspecified number of vehicles were traveling in the area when, for unknown reasons, they were involved in a collision. 

Paramedics were observed at the crash scene in order to assist those with injuries. The total number of injured parties has not been reported at this time. 

The roadway was blocked for some time on the afternoon of April 7 while emergency personnel worked at the site of the wreck. Local motorists were urged to use caution in the area or find alternative travel routes. 

Authorities in Pittsburgh continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
