Pittsburgh, PA – Auto Crash on Parkway East near Birmingham Bridge

Pittsburgh, PA (May 12, 2022) – At least one person was injured in a Thursday morning auto crash in Pittsburgh. The incident occurred just before 8:00 a.m. on May 12.

The wreck happened on the Parkway East near the Birmingham Bridge for reasons still being investigated. Two vehicles were involved in the accident which led to injuries for the involved parties. 

Emergency personnel was observed at the crash site assisting those in need. Those who were seriously hurt were loaded into ambulances and transported to local hospitals as needed. 

The extent of the injuries suffered has not been reported at this time. Local motorists were asked to utilize caution in the area for the time that the scene was active with responders. The right and center lanes were blocked for some time. 

Authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the incident. No further information has been reported at this time.
