Pennsylvania Car Crashes
More than 200 car accidents are reported per day in Pennsylvania. Per year, the Keystone State sees over 100,000 vehicle collisions. These wrecks happen for a wide range of different reasons. Currently, in the United States, the leading cause of auto wrecks continues to be driver error. Driver error is responsible for 4 out of 5 car accidents reported in the United States.
Some common types of driver error include speeding, driver intoxication, drowsy driving, and driving while distracted. With the dawn of smartphones and other hand-held technology, distracted driving has been on the rise. About 15% of injury crashes in the United States are caused by a distracted driver, while 7% of all fatal accidents in 2019 were the result of distracted driving.
When driver error leads to dangerous accidents, injured victims need to be fairly compensated for their damages. Pain and suffering, loss of consortium, emotional turmoil, and more may be covered by compensation by filing a personal injury claim with a personal injury attorney.
