Jackson, PA – One Airlifted After Truck Accident on I-79 near Mile Marker 87.6

Jackson, PA (April 26, 2022) – One person was airlifted from the scene of an auto accident in Butler County.  Police said the accident happened in Jackson Township on Tuesday, April 26.

According to reports, the wreck occurred between Portersville and Zelienople on I-79. A pickup truck and a dump truck collided for reasons still being investigated by police. 

All southbound lanes of the interstate were closed while emergency crews worked at the scene. Authorities in Jackson continue to investigate the details of the collision. 

No further details have been reported at this time.
