Hanover, PA – 4 Hurt in Multi-Motorcycle Collision on Rt 22 near Schoenersville Rd

Hanover, PA (April 28, 2022) – Over thirty bikers who were reportedly driving “in a reckless manner” contributed to motorcycle accidents that shut down a road in Hanover. The wreck happened on Sunday, April 24. 

Authorities came on the scene early Sunday afternoon just east of Route 378 and Schoenersville Road. Ten to 15 motorcycles were on the ground when they arrived. 

Pennsylvania State Police reported that four of the roughly 40 bikers were hospitalized when five of the bikes were involved in a crash in the Bethlehem area on Route 22. The severity of the injuries varied; however, none were life-threatening. 

Route 22 was blocked for approximately two hours, and traffic headed east was diverted to Route 378. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
