Clearfield Twp, PA – Semi-Truck Crash Injures 2 at E Route 422 & Clearfield Rd

Clearfield Twp, PA (March 31, 2022) – Two people were hurt after a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle was involved in a collision in Clearfield. The wreck was reported just before 11:00 a.m. on March 24.

Sources say the accident occurred at the intersection of East Route 422 and Clearfield Road. Currently, the contributing factors of the crash remain unclear. However, dispatchers stated the passenger vehicle caught fire and became engulfed in flames. 

By the time emergency crews arrived, the fire had died down. A 76-year-old, identified as the driver of the passenger vehicle, and their 71-year-old passenger, were transported from the scene with injuries.

Traffic was delayed in the area for some time in the early afternoon hours of March 24 while crews worked at the crash scene. Local drivers were urged to use different routes of travel while the site of the collision was active with responders.
