Butler, PA – Two Hospitalized After Wreck on I-79 near Cranberry Exit

Butler, PA (April 23, 2022) – Two people were sent to the hospital after an auto accident in Butler. The incident was reported to officials at around 10:00 a.m. on April 22. 

According to information from police, the wreck occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 79 near the Cranberry exit. Dispatchers said a sedan collided with a truck. 

Part of the right lane on the interstate was closed while responders worked to secure the scene. Two people reportedly suffered chest injuries and were transported to area medical centers by ambulance. 

At this time, Police in Butler continues to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
