Adams County, PA – One Killed in Wreck on York Rd near Granite Station Rd

Adams County, PA (April 6, 2022) – One person lost their life Tuesday, April 5, when the vehicle they were riding in left a roadway in Adams County and struck a utility pole before hitting a tree. The deceased victim was identified as Devon Mansberger, 31, of York Haven.

Mansberger was pronounced deceased at the crash scene. The driver, identified as Aiden Bower, 21, of Red Lion, traveled east on York Road at approximately 4:15 p.m. He reportedly lost control of his vehicle and exited the right side of the roadway. 

The vehicle struck the pole, went down an embankment, struck a tree, and came to a stop. It remains unclear what caused Bower to lose control. 

The Gettysburg Fire Department, Adams County Regional EMS, and the Adams County Coroner’s Office were observed at the scene. Route 30 remained closed on Tuesday afternoon due to the accident. 

Authorities in Adams County continue to investigate the details of the accident.
